About

The Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA) is Australia’s national authority on gender equality in the workplace, responsible for assessing and reporting on organisational gender pay gaps and workforce composition. The WGEA provides clear national benchmarks on gender equality, which helps illustrate why understanding our own data is important in strengthening our ongoing commitment to equity. The following statement outlines our commitment to fostering genuine gender equity and the steps we are implementing to close our identified gap.

Our commitment

IPC Health is proud of the progress we have made in reducing our gender pay gap and achieving a reduction of 4.5%. This progress sits within a broader commitment to build a workforce that is equitable, diverse and reflective of the community we serve.

We are pleased that our median gender pay gap is .7% which remains within our tolerance of -5 to 5%. While we celebrate this progress, we recognise that equity is an ongoing commitment. Our next phase of work will include:

Increased representation by pay quartile. To ensure a more balanced distribution across all pay levels we will address ways to increase male under representation, particularly in roles where males are underrepresented.

Improve flexible work offerings to reduce structural barriers to workforce participation and progression, particularly for those with caring responsibility, people living with disability and others who may not fit traditional work patterns.

Improve supports for employees experiencing family and domestic violence. Clear frameworks, communication and action will strengthen the support offered to employees experiencing family and domestic violence.

Gender equality is a core organisational priority. Through transparent reporting, clear accountability and sustained evidence-based action, IPC Health remains committed to reducing the gender pay gap and fostering a workplace where all employees are respected, supported and remunerated fairly.
