Explore your feelings and concerns about the stress in life with our experienced counsellors
How we can help you
What we can help with
Sometimes you just need to talk with someone about the things in life that are getting you down. Head to Health is a free mental health service funded by the Commonwealth Government for people who are experiencing stress, anxiety and other wellbeing issues. This includes people who have never accessed mental health services before and their family and friends. It also is for family and friends of those in aged care.
The aim of Head to Health is to reduce the wait time for mental health services so when you call, you’ll speak to a qualified staff member straight away. They’ll talk to you about what’s going on and find the best services for your needs. This may be with Head to Health or another service but we’ll try to make sure it’s free or low cost.
Head to Health has a No Wrong Door approach. This means that all Victorians of any age who are experiencing emotional distress, mental ill-health and/or addiction can receive help from Head to Health, along with their families and carers. You don’t need a mental health plan or a referral to get support from Head to Health.
We also have wellbeing coordinators to be your point of contact for coordinating services as well as peer support workers who have lived experience of what you’re going through and can help you to feel safe.
