We start with IF.
Creativity is one of our core values and IPC Health is embedding learning, experimentation and innovation across our organisation. From small improvements to transformative services, innovation is about applying a deep understanding of our clients and communities to find new ways to increase our impact and make a difference.
We have implemented a new Innovation Framework called IF. after successfully piloting through a series of Innovation Challenges. The framework includes new ways of working and service models including an innovation partnership approach as well as engaging, designing and testing with clients early and often.
Our Innovation Challenges
Previous Innovation Challenges have included the Power Over Pain program and family violence response improvements.
Power Over Pain is an innovation in partnership with Western Health to design a holistic service (clinical and non-clinical), improving outcomes for people living with chronic pain. The program also looks to reduce the burden of pain management on Western Health’s emergency department via a reduction in re-admissions. We brought together a multi-disciplinary team to validate the thinking that our holistic wellbeing Social Prescribing program can enhance the quality of life for patients with chronic pain.
The Family Violence Response Innovation Challenge created a roadmap for improving our service measures to clients experiencing family and intimate partner violence.
Other Innovation Challenges currently in progress include:
– Digital health coaching
– Eating disorders support
– Improving services for transgender, gender diverse and non-binary young people in Melbourne’s West
