The free needle and syringe program operates from St Albans, Deer Park and Altona Meadows.
A Needle and Syringe Program worker is based at our St Albans campus and provides information on safe needle and syringe disposal.
Resources (including equipment for safe sex practice) are available and also information to utilise safe disposing equipment and facilitate the return of used equipment to IPC Health.
We also encourage clients to have a conversation about other support available.
St Albans campus opening hours:
Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday: 8.30am – 5pm
Tuesday: 8.30am – 6pm
Our Deer Park campus has a Needle and Syringe Program dispensing machine that is available 24/7.
The dispensing machine is located outside the building and there are clear instructions for use on the machine itself.
We ask to please treat the machine well so that it remains operational for use by all who need it.
Our Altona Meadows campus has packs available for clients and allows used equipment to be disposed of safely.
