We help and support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people prevent and better manage their chronic health conditions. We can help you access a wide range of health and community services, in a culturally supportive way.

The Elders Community Lounge
This is a culturally safe ‘drop in’ space for the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and their families. It is located at the IPC Health Wyndham Vale Campus. The room is available Monday – Friday, during office hours. Contact the Aboriginal Health team for more information.
Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, the Elders Community Lounge at our Wyndham Vale Campus is closed until further notice. The Aboriginal Health Team remains available to support clients and community members remotely.

Is there a fee?
No. If you identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander, our services are free and you are prioritised.
Reduced pharmaceutical costs
IPC Health’s General Practitioners across Deer Park, Wyndham Vale and Hoppers Crossing are registered for the Closing the Gap scheme. Closing the Gap registration specifically caters for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander clients who are over 15 years and have a chronic illness, however anyone who identifies as either can be registered under the scheme for the PBS Co-payment.
